5 Dead In I-10 Wreck In Gautier

A horrific tragedy happened on I-10 in car wreck in Gautier, Mississippi.  Five people died in this awful accident.  The Gautier Police Department responded quickly but at least one person was burned alive.  This Mississippi car wreck caused the death of woman and her daughter, two men in a truck, and a Mobile man in a sedan.

The two men were in a truck that was under the back of an 18 wheeler.  The Jaws of Life and backhoe had to be used to get their truck out from under the 18 wheeler.  The sedan apparently exploded in flames after this truck.

The following people died in this wreck: Steven Johnson, Alayah Wesley, Sabriya Thomas Barnes,  and Thomas Andrews.  The other man killed in this wreck was from Mexico and the coroner wants to wait to release his name until she can contact his family.

This accident was so bad that seat belts would not have mattered.  However, seat belts DO MATTER in most car wrecks.  I know you already know we have a ridiculous problem with wearing our seat belts here in Mississippi.  This is why I’m on a mission to get people to wear them.
