Medicare Lien On Your Mississippi Car Wreck Case

One of the most frustrating things that I deal with in my office (besides insurance companies and lawyers) in representing people injured in Mississippi car wrecks is dealing with Medicare.

Under the law, I have to get the Medicare lien before settling a case.  But, Medicare is one of the SLOWEST government agencies in the world.  They take FOREVER in getting lien information to us.  It is so slow it is like watching grass grow.  I know it is frustrating for clients also.  I just had a client call me who didn’t understand this and thinks I’m slow.  I assured the client I’m not slow.  I want to get cases resolved as quickly as possible.  I was extremely aggravated with the slow process.
