The car wreck in Hancock County was a horrible one for everyone involved.
I just don’t know how I would feel if this happened to one of my kids.
It’s just an incredible tragedy.
Arthur was apparently thrown out of the car when Jody Jarrell wrecked.
William Arthur was just 17 years old.
The Judge gave Jody Jarrell 25 years but suspended 5 of the years.
This means Jarrell will have to spend a lot of time in prison for this

Some of the family members say Jarrell should server his time in prison.
Others say he should not because he’s learned his lesson.
You know from reading this blog that I’m a big believer in the safety rules.
But when some family members say he should not go to jail, then I’m torn.
I’m torn because I like to respect the wishes of the victim’s family.
What do you think?
Should he serve his 20 years in jail or not?
I just want everybody to know one thing I have kept quiet on this for a long time I think William was a wonderful young man I love Jody Jarrell with all my heart and soul. I can’t believe deep down in my soul That William would still be alive and Jody would not be doing time if it wasn’t for Mississippi Roads.. they had potholes all the way down firetower road was firetower road isn’t it funny how it was paved two days later I truly believe if it had been two days later on this accident this would have never happened Jodywould still be with his family and William would still be alive . I truly believe Mississippi should have been part of this blame too..just saying
I’m so sorry this happened to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
