My Friend Alex Yoncak Killed In A Car Wreck

I am saddened upon learning of my friend Alex Yoncak’s death.  We met each other online.  A Yankee and a Southern boy.  Our backgrounds could not be further apart.

But we had one thing in common – our devotion to the New Orleans Saints.  He had never even been to the Big Easy but was a lifelong Saints fan, like myself.  We even worked on helping a fellow Saints fan, Blaine Miller, rebuild his house after Hurricane Katrina.  He spearheaded the project and helped raise money to rebuild.  Alex was a great person and a great fan.  I will miss him.

As we lifelong Saints fans know, when we reach Heaven, St. Peter will let us pass right through the Gates as we have been through enough by watching our Saints fumble, bumble, and stumble through most seasons.

I have no doubt that my friend Alex will pass right through.
